Her musical path took a transformative turn when she attended Five Towns College, where she discovered not only her voice but also the power of collaboration. Surrounded by like-minded individuals who shared her passion for music, Sweet Suzi honed her craft and learned the intricacies of being part of a band. This nurturing environment fostered lifelong friendships and a deeper understanding of her artistry.
In 2013, Sweet Suzi achieved a remarkable milestone when she was inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame, a testament to her talent and dedication to her craft. This honor not only recognized her contributions to the music scene but also solidified her place among the greats.
Today, Sweet Suzi continues to evolve as an artist, boasting an extensive catalogue of original music that showcases her unique style and emotive storytelling. Her latest project, TURNER UP! pays tribute to the legendary Tina Turner, a challenge only someone with Suzi's passion, prowess and vocals could undertake. Michael Gervasi is a dynamic force in the music scene and one of the founding members of the band TURNER UP!. With a profound passion for music and an extensive knowledge of musical theory and equipment, Mike brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to the group. His remarkable ability to navigate the chaotic moments leading up to performances ensures that each show is not only seamless but also filled with high energy and excitement.
Mike has been playing guitar since age 10 with all of his musician friends. Self-taught initially, he has played original music, oldies, been in popular show bands, and straight-ahead rock. Influences came from groups like The Beatles, Yes, Rush and good hard driving rock and roll and progressive rock. He is a tone geek, always seeking the best sound from his playing and experimenting continually with new gear to improve that tone and sound. Listening to players like John Petrucci, Steve Morse, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai to name a few, and trying to learn how they get such great sound was an obsession. “Playing well isn’t enough. You have to sound good and understand how to use your gear”. “I have been fortunate enough to meet and play with some of the best musicians on Long Island and I am thrilled to be involved with TURNER UP!.”
His commitment to the craft inspires those around him, fostering a collaborative environment where creativity flourishes. As a driving force behind the band, Michael’s enthusiasm and vision promise to lead TURNER UP!! to great success in the music world.

Tom started playing guitar at the age of 13, influenced by many classic and progressive rock guitarists of the day, including Buck Dharma, Rik Emmett, and Steve Hackett. He graduated from Shenandoah University with a degree in Music Therapy with a
concentration in classical guitar. In the early 90’s he was the lead guitarist/songwriter for the original Irish alternative band, Surrey Lane.
Tom’s collaborative spirit and dedication make him a pleasure to work with, and his contributions are always infused with creativity and passion. TURNER UP! is very lucky to have Tom on board as we look towards a fabulous future together!!

Meet Tony Russo, the driving force behind the rhythm of our new project and the heartbeat of our band. As a founding member of TURNER UP!, Tony’s unwavering passion and vision have been instrumental in shaping the sound and direction of our music.
From the moment we began this journey together, I knew that working with Tony would be a transformative experience. His vision for the band has not only guided our creative process but has also fostered a sense of camaraderie and collaboration that makes this project truly special. As we bring our collective dreams to life, Tony’s presence is a constant reminder of what passion and hard work can achieve.
Tony started playing drums at the age of nine watching his uncle’s band play through the basement window. With over 50 years of playing with various bands, he is a hard hitting precise powerful drummer who is not afraid to bring the drums out front while at the same time providing an excellent groove and pocket to drive the music forward. He was influenced by some of the greatest drummers of all time including: Neil Peart, Steve Gadd, Stewart Copeland, and many other great creative drum masters. He has played with some of the finest Long Island musicians and is always learning and trying to do it better all the time. Tony is currently working with his current band and doing shows around Long Island and is very excited to also be part of “Turner Up”.
I feel incredibly lucky to have Tony as our drummer, collaborator, and friend. His commitment to our vision and his exceptional talent are the cornerstones of our band, and I can’t wait to see where this musical adventure takes us next. With Tony driving the rhythm, the possibilities are endless!

With a unique style that blends technical proficiency and creative flair, Gene consistently elevates the music he plays. His unwavering work ethic and passion for his craft shine through on stage, where his infectious energy captivates audiences.
Gene is a native New York bass player who’s been performing for almost 50 years. Currently he is bassist with The Revelators (rock covers) for over 7 years. His early musical influences are Aerosmith, Bowie, Queen, Kiss and Foghat. He later developed a taste for more progressive tunes including Genesis, King Crimson, Jeff Beck and Stanley Clarke. Former bands are Dirty Looks, Some Nerve, Alien Ventriloquist, Mika, There & Back, Outtahand and Cover2Cover. Gene can be heard on the Some Nerve recording “Gina”, b-side “Believe in a Lie” (Orange Records).
Gene’s ability to collaborate seamlessly with fellow musicians makes him a sought-after partner in the music community. We are truly fortunate to have him on our team!

Since joining us, Richard has brought a fresh perspective to our music, seamlessly blending genres and pushing the boundaries of traditional keyboard playing.
A Philly native, Rich’s playing and singing have been a fixture on the Long Island live music scene for way longer than he cares to admit. The highlights of Rich’s career include long stints with the popular Billy Joel band, Songs in the Attic, national touring Foreigner tribute band, Head Games, Long Island based Bad Company tribute, Mad Co., NYC-based 80’s tribute show band, Rubix Kube and Bruce Springsteen tribute, Badlands.
A lifelong Beatles fanatic, he has also performed with NY Fab Four tribute bands, Strawberry Fields, Liverpool Shuffle and Penny Lane. In addition, he has performed with Jessie’s Girl and shared a stage with Bonnie Tyler, Bret Michaels and 60’s rocker, Mitch Ryder. In addition to keyboardist and vocalist in GOLD DUST WOMAN, he is also the band’s musical director.

Pam Dixon has a voice that resonates with passion and emotion and a stage presence that captivates audiences! From the moment we met through music, it was clear that Pam possessed a rare talent and an unwavering passion for her art. Over the years, I have witnessed her incredible vocal evolution, marked by a commitment to excellence and a genuine love for performance.
Pam is a multi-faceted artist who sings, acts and dances, performing in many shows in NYC and abroad. She has also written and produced many original songs with her former original band "Kaos From Order" and various writing partners over the years. With Kaos, she has done television and radio, and played some of the most iconic NYC clubs, such as The Bitter End, Webster Hall, and Limelight, to name a few, as well as opening for national acts Mountain, Y&T and The Outlaws at the Stone Pony in NJ and the old vaudeville theater The Chance in Tuxedo, NY.
In addition to "Turner Up", her current endeavors include her original band "Trust Me", the Steely Dan (and friends) band "Six Degrees of Dan", and an acoustic trio "Acoustic Overlook". She is co-owner of NextPase Blokhed Studios with owner Tommy Stiegler, and is enjoying honing her videography and sound engineering skills. Tied to NextPhase Blokhed is her "Studio Girls, " endeavor, who are in search of original bands to interview and broadcast during their performance, helping to promote the original music scene and the venues supporting it.
Pam’s journey in music has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to connect with listeners through her powerful voice and heartfelt interpretations is a testament to her dedication and artistry. As a vital member of the band TURNER UP!!, Pam brings a unique energy and a depth of emotion to every performance, making each show an unforgettable experience.

Colleen's journey in music has been a remarkable one, marked by a dedication to her craft and an innate ability to connect with audiences. When she steps onto the stage, it's clear that she’s not just playing notes; she’s telling a story, one that listeners can feel deep within their hearts.
With roots as a classically trained saxophonist from Missouri, Colleen embarked on a worldwide adventure playing on Holland America and Seabourn Cruise Lines which expanded her horizons and ultimately landed her in the heart of New York! In 2017-19, Colleen was the Musical Director for the Off-Broadway play, Batboy: A Yankee Miracle, the true life story of Ray Negron.
She now performs with tribute bands such as All Revved Up: The Ultimate Meat Loaf Tribute; David Clark’s All About Joel (Billy Joel tribute), and Pompeii Floyd (Pink Floyd tribute). Colleen is also in high demand for weddings and corporate events, having played with groups and agencies such as AMP DJ/Band Hybrid, Hank Lane Music and Sonic Boom Productions.
She also performs at electronic music events and records under her alias "Sax Kitten", with DJs such as Demarkus Lewis, DJ Oneduz, DANK, & Joeski. Colleen is currently working on her first studio EP with producer & guitarist Russ DeSalvo (Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, Marc Anthony.

Mario played in several bands before deciding to devote himself to the other side of the sound board. He cut his teeth as a recording engineer in some of the largest studios on LI. In doing so, he had the pleasure of working with such artists as Mariah Carey, Taylor Dayne, and members of The Good Rats, to name a few. He has been working more with live sound the last few years and enjoys being part of the vibrant local music scene.

Renowned not only for his technical prowess, Mario is also widely regarded as one of the nicest people you ever want to meet.
